Acoustic EnclosuresSignificant noise sources are often generated by on-skid equipment such as natural gas compressors and drivers. If these sources are loud enough, or if the distances to nearby stakeholders is close enough, then regular metal buildings or other standard enclosures may not provide the acoustic transmission losses needed for the site. Enviro Noise Control's acoustic enclosures are built with numerous design elements that prevent noise from escaping the enclosure, including: full perimeter vibration isolation, 4” thick wall construction, acoustically treated doors, double-layer high TL skylights instead of windows, and a ventilation system that ensures year-round operation with the doors closed. ENC’s comprehensive design and very particular construction procedures result in enclosures that can reduce the skid-mounted equipment noise by as much as 35 dBA (a sound energy reduction factor of over 3,000). |
